The Fall Soccer Season is Almost Here.
Season start date is September 11 for in-town and travel teams. (Practice sessions may start sooner, you will be contacted by your coach.) The season ends in November.

TAYSA Needs You - Urgently Seeking Volunteers
The Townsend-Ashby Youth
Soccer Association is a member organization run entirely by volunteers. It runs because of the efforts and enthusiasm of each one of our volunteers. Without volunteers like you this program cannot exist. There are many activities that need your support including, coaches, assistant coaches, fundraising and several key operational and executive board positions listed below. In-Town Director
Recruit coaches for fall and spring in-town seasons.
Work with the other directors to develop fall and spring town league game schedule.
Create, maintain and publish (web) master schedule.
Coordinate “Sports Photo” day.
Coach Development Director
Insure TAYSA, NVYSL, MYSA, and USYSF coaching philosophy is being followed.
Conduct program for coach training including the acquisition of materials, sponsoring of coaching clinics, preparation and updating of coaching syllabus for all age levels.
Coordinate coaching performance evaluations through MYSA and US Youth
soccer
Monitor coach development courses, seminars, clinics, and other relevant events sponsored by other organizations (i.e. MYSA, USYSF, soccer club) and inform the Board and members of the Association and maintain certification records.
Player Development Director
Insure TAYSA, NVYSL, MYSA, and USYSF player development philosophy is being followed.
Conduct programs for player development training including the acquisition of materials, sponsoring of player clinics. Both general and specific areas of need (i.e. goalkeeping) should be planned.
Evaluate player performance through MYSA Skills Patch Program.
Coordinate summer and winter skills clinics through commercial training organizations
Help coordinate coordinate travel team tryouts.
Equipment Director
Inventory, control, distribute and maintain all TAYSA owned equipment. Soccer balls, cones, corner flags, goals, nets, pug goals, first aid kits, paint equipment, tents, ice packs, sand bags (goal weights), equipment bags
Coordinate distribution and collection of equipment for the fall, winter and spring sessions.
Purchase required items as needed with approval of executive board.
Coordinate with field director to ensure all goals are maintained for safety and placement at the correct fields.
Uniform Director
Purchase TAYSA uniforms per the approval of the Executive Board and manage inventory distribution and payment collection.
Coordinate with Registrar & travel & in-town directors to ensure correct uniforms are ordered for each season.
Coordinate and assign jersey numbers and coordinate with registrar to maintain information in the database.
Concessions Coordinator
Inventory, purchase, and stock supplies for the snack shack including fresh donuts each Saturday morning
Work closely with treasurer to prepare cash box, collect money and submit receipts for shack items
Coordinate opening, closing, operation and cleaning of snack shack through volunteers each Saturday throughout the season.
Recommend improvement and maintenance items to the TAYSA Board.
